Robin van Persie Celebration

THE sequence of pictures below shows robin's way of celebrating his goals...

what i understand is that, he sweeps the sleeve, particularly at the Premier League emblem...for those who don't know, the Premier League holder uses the gold emblem, while the other competitors are blue...

Robin's message was "go away u blue emblem, my ARSENAL shirt deserves only the GOLD emblem !!!"....

Premier League 08/09 : Manchester United v Arsenal

Man UTD may need only 1 point to retain the Premier League crown for third successive time...they might as well has prepared all necessary things to celebrate the crown after tomorrow's game...having beaten Arsenal twice this season, they certainly are confident...a win is a likely outcome, a draw is enough in the other hand....for them, Arsenal are nothing....

For me, i'll continue shouting for my team...it's difficult to believe that we could win tomorrow, what i want my team to produce is maturity, slick passing game, fluentness, smoothness, while avoiding mistakes and giving away silly goals....

COME ON YOU GOOOOONNEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nasri in French Shirt (old pic)

it was Nasri, pictured in French national shirt...nice pic...!

Robin: "Guys, let's stay together...."

"The main thing for me is that we stay together."

"If we lose three or four every year it is hard to get the spirit in. Hopefully we can stay here and have a real go at it. "

"If we can produce games like we did this year there is room for improvement - if you look at our midfield it is between 20 and 22." - Robin

Aizen: It's been a while since the last time i saw your magic free kick, Robin...

Toure:When you love somebody it's important that they love you back...

"I have been here a long time, and when I saw some players leaving the Club last year that was difficult for me"

"Then when we didn’t start the season well I was scared. You start to think that maybe the Club don’t need you anymore. When it's like that and you are 28 you have to think about yourself as well. But I came back, I'm playing at the moment and I hope that will carry on. There is still time on my contract and I hope the Club will show me that they need me. "

"When you love somebody it's important that they love you back. I have loved this club for years, and I always give everything for the team. Since I've been here I've just tried to do my best but you can't be at the top all the time. Sometimes your level will drop a bit. That's when you need to be strong and bounce back and that's what I tried to do this season. "

"People know I love the Club, nobody can say I don't. I believe you can only truly love one club in your career, and my club is Arsenal. It doesn't matter if I ever move onto another team, Arsenal will always be the one in my heart. When my career is finished and I'm older, I will always think of myself as an Arsenal man." - Toure

Transfer Speculation: Gary Cahill (Bolton)

RUMOUR spreading around London recently with Arsenal reportedly interested in Bolton's center back, Gary Cahill...

Bolton have replied by putting a £20million tag on Gary Cahill in an attempt to scare off Arsenal...It's a stupidly rediculous price since Super Arshavin and Nasri The Ace valued £15 million and £13 million respectively...

With Arsene's policy, it's obvious that he will have to forget this player...

Arsenal seriously need to streghten their defense after repeatly giving away soft goals which caused us another trophy-less season...

For Mr Wenger, what i can say is just forget this player...he's 23 years old and strong, that's a plus...but who guarantees he could perform in a higher stage of tournament?

From CESC to the fans...

"WHILE we’re always positive, we know it’s difficult to keep everyone happy at this moment because it’s the fourth consecutive season in which we haven’t won anything.

It’s frustrating for the fans, who are used to winning things, to see other teams going into Finals when we haven’t really managed that.

We are disappointed because we know how much effort they put in – the way that, even in the financial crisis, they’re still coming to the stadium, buying tickets and season tickets, and we appreciate that a lot. It’s a shame, and we feel very responsible for not making them happy, for not taking them back to Wembley or to Rome." - Cesc

Taken from Cesc after Arsenal were hammered at home by Man Utd and Chelsea in a week...

Nasri: Du'a Before the Game...

IT was Samir Nasri, pictured reciting a du'a (prayer) before a game...in Islam, there's no specific way of du'a before a game (maybe there is for a war)...but usually to relieve tense, a du'a applied by prophet Musa a.s. could do it...

"rabbi shrahli..sodri..wa yassir li...amri...waqdul 'uqdatam millisaani..yaf qauhu qauli"...

usually started with...

"allahummaftah a'alaina..hikmataka...wansur 'alaina..min khoza ini rahmatika..ya Arhamar-rahimin..."

(P/S: i'll try to pun the translation but i couldn't find it now..i'll put them later when i found it..)

Champions League: Arsenal are Out!

THE second before the kick-off at Old Trafford for the 1st leg of the Champions League, football fans, spectators, commentators and pundits believed that it would be a massive battle...Man Utd with their superiority in the league, their 3 season unbeaten run in the champions league, while Arsenal with their fine unbeaten league run, their ability to break Villarreal's defence while Man Utd failed to do so, their trademark passing game and all that..

based on my analysis, Arsenal will have a good chance to win if Man Utd sit back and apply a wait and see strategy...and come with counter-attack...Arsenal won several times when United play this way, i don't know if SAF realizes this...

however, when Man Utd decide to attack, their smooth and accurate passing game could break Arsenal apart...they thrashed Arsenal in the FA cup game in 2008...

the game started with Man Utd performed a fast passing game...with Carrick, Anderson and Fletcher at the center, they easily dominated the midfield...they tested Almunia several times and find a breakthrough early through Oshea...an unlikely hero, but he did his part...
Arsenal was lost...they couldn't find a rhythm...Man Utd came fiercely and tested Almunia many times...in the end, the match stats was truly unbelievable...it didnt look like Arsenal at all..the Gunners left the Old Trafford with 1-0 deficit...

now at the Emirates...

Robin was back again after he was sidelined for 3 matches...

Arsenal started well, they were trying to forget that they didnt have an away goal as an insurance...the game looked over inside 11th minute....the Gunners were already down 2 goals to nil...a four goals salvo could save them..but that looked difficult...

I continued watching the game in the second half, despite knowing we were far behind...in the 60th minute, the Utd added another one....mathematically Arsenal needed to score 1 goal every 6 minutes if they wanted to qualify for the Final...after the third goal, i raised up from my seat and walked towards my room...not because i lost faith in my team....i just couldnt stand the other fans who celebrated the goal like everybody was supporting MANCHESTER UNITED!!!those fans just didn't have sensitivity for other people...if i were at home or at the Emirates, i'll continue watching it til the end, and continue singing "We love u Arsenal" with my head held up high....

I couldnt sleep until morning....i was so frustated....only the next morning i knew the full time result...we lose 1-3...
it's a heart-break for the Arsenal..but that's okay...we might not be strong enough right now...but i know we will....

"they're not tears...they're just sweat got into my eyes"- Cesc

you can call us BOYS because we are BOYS or because we play like BOYS or BABIES...keep your word...BOYS will grow...OUR target is YOU!!!

For the Arsenal.....

this season is the season to forget..many things happened that were against our favour...luck, injuries, form and all that seemed to work against our will...anyway, for the season to come, i know we'll come back strong.....

"We LOVE you ARSENAL - we do...

We LOVE you ARSENAL - we do...

We LOVE you ARSENAL - we do, oh Arsenal we LOVE you...!!!"

Champions League: Now to the Semis!

IT was a relief when Arsenal got over AS Roma... at least we'll get Theo and Cesc (and ok..Adebayor...) back for the quarter-finals....

the first leg at El-Madrigal started not as planned....the Spaniards scored early in the first half through Marcos Senna's cannon ball...i still remembered that time when i watch the played a sloppy game in the first 10 minutes...i told my brother that Villarreal would score soon if we continue playing like that...suddenly Senna got the ball a rammed it to the top corner...

(Senna scored to give Villarreal an early lead)

we managed to reorganize and finally got a crucial away goal in the second half...i don't fancy Adebayor with his laziness and self-proclaimed star, but he did well with his goal...Cesc fed him with a good ball into the penalty area....the way he scored was what a striker should have...if it were Henry, he won't do that acrobatic...i'm quite sure...but he would certainly score...

(Adebayor equalized in style)

Pires only featured in some occassions in the second half when he was introduced...

The second leg at the Emirates was advantage to the Arsenal...as for UEFA rule, they only need a scoreless draw to proceed to the semis...

Marcos Senna was absent due to injury...as for the Gunners, Gallas was unavailable after picking up a hamstring in the first leg...

Arsenal started well with a fluent passing football when Cesc's unintentional flick splitted the defense...Theo ran for the ball and chipped it passed Diego Lopez...a dream start to to make things difficult for the visitors...

(Theo chipped high: One Nil to the Arsenal)

(Celebration: The lads congratulate Theo)

The second goal came out only in the second half when Robin fed Adebayor for a space and the Togo finished it well...

(Two nil to the Arsenal)

The third was an icing on the cake...when Robin scored from the spot...

(It's game over...)

It was a friendly atmosphere after the final whistle...the players didn't overreact despite securing a place in the semis...the players exchanged shirts and shaked hands..the visitors accepted their defeat...as for the Gunners, they didn't celebrate as they did in Rome...i thought that might be as a symbol of respect and friendship with the club, in general, and with Robert Pires, in specific...

Now it's United in the Semis....

Champions League: Arsenal to the Last Eight

it wasn't the best game that Arsenal played...we missed too many chances in London, thanx to Pink-boot Bendtner...the game which arsenal played in such a weak form, drawing 3 consecutive Premier League games with scoring none....

Robin scored a fine penalty, and the defence played well to deny any strike from the Italian...

the return leg was not as desired....the Roman scored early to level up the aggregate...they could have scored more...in the end we won on penalties...

let's forget that we qualified on the shoot-out..let's forget that we played badly tonight, let alone deserve to win..now we are in the quarters...let's face them bravely and do what we could do best!

nasri: allahu akbar!!

the sequnce of pictures above show Nasri's celebration after scoring his second goal against United on November 08...if u realized, he was raising his hands up to his ears' height, very similar to the takbir in the solah...guess what he was shouting??? "allahu akbar" perhaps....

Waiting On Arshavin- But Now Arshav-is-In!!

i don't know what magic mr.Wenger did on Zenit's officials...he incredbly reduced the price tag from 20 million pounds to 12 million pounds....

it was a long story, but 24 hours after the transfer deadline, PL committee confirmed that the deal went through...

Andrey took #23 in Arsenal list....

4: Cesc Fabregas

the boy came to North London in September 2003 as a nobody...he was a 16 year old trainee with Barcelona...Arsene sensed his talent when he starred in the U-17 World Cup...

fabregas: breaking into first team in 2004-2005 season due to injury to former captain, Patrick Vieira

became an important first-team player when Veira departed for Juve...Arsene should have seen his ability, therefore he dared to sell Vieira...

(Below:Cesc showed the expression of a boy who scored in a tense Champions League match...)

and later, made the Captain of the Arsenal....

:: " Captain CESC "- It Sounds Perfect ::

After the humiliating defeat in Eastland, Arsene knew he needed changes...the game when midfield ace was suspended, Arsenal was demolished - with the biggest score i have ever witnessed...
the game after that was the Champions League group stage match at the Emirates...and the game was historical since it would be the first game captained by the youngest captain in Arsenal history....the game ended with one nil to the Arsenal...

Cesc Fabregas - 21 years old - Arsenal's new Captain
